I could be (and am often) wrong but I think if candidate harris commits now to any kind of reversal on Gaza, the israel lobby will do everything it possibly can to destroy her. it’s honestly (and I hate this) smart for her to forestall a full assault from aipac and friends while she’s also battling trump. but if she doesn’t signal a change, she will also depress turnout, which she really needs to beat trump. it’s the first major statecraft test for her team, not easy at all
