2/5 As I put my hand on the tree -- and this was a gentle hand plant for balance only--- the tree decided to fall at that moment!! Quite bizarre for that little amount of force to topple such a substantial tree. Apparently, it was very ready. Unfortunately, as the tree fell, I lost my balance from losing my point of contact and I fell with the tree down the slope and into the deep snow. (CONT)
