At this point it's unrealistic and people who are still using his quotes are making him seem infallible. I guess it's fun to identify as a Maxi and preach it as your religion for some people though 😏

I thought it was well understood that he stood on the shoulders of giants, building something great on concepts that were decades old.

Also, like many software projects, creators are often replaced or advised by others who are more intelligent in particular areas and fields. He stepped away from being a BDFL figure for whatever reason, and now a mixture of human, technological and economical factors have taken over the project.
