What strikes me is that, because it is not caused by an industry or market having problems, it is caused by self-inflicted damage to the trade routes, it will not just be a gentle recession, or a mild one - it will be incredibly harsh and deep.
And it will continue to deepen, as the whole supply line dries up, from more and more places.
And it will take years to recover. Not least because Trump has destroyed all trust in the US.
