Blocked some stranger who went into someone's thread where they said LLMs are stochastic parrots and the stranger wanted to argue that, actually, human brains are exactly like LLMs, because science! as if the science of human cognition is even close to being settled.

The stranger is arguing with someone who clearly understands the subject more than the stranger does, and it's so horrifying to me, that this person really believes that he and everyone else are stochastic parrots. I know it's a strain of thought in philosophy, but it is such a bleak and sterile strain of thought, I want better for all of us.
