I have been looking into the hypothesis that Japanese were once aryans or had some connection to aryans in ancient history... But that had me thinking: The Philippines was constantly invaded and taken over by various aryans over the centuries, and there was a lot of mixing going on. There are also some very light skinned Filipinos/Filipinas around. Could there be ancient connections besides just the mixing of a couple centuries there? I have my questions about this, since Tagalog specifically shows zero connections to any of the Proto-indian European languages (whereas in ancient Japanese, there are some very noticable connections to Sanskrit.)
