Today I fell foul of the fact that the Halton sequence ceases to be well distributed above a few hundred samples. Usually that’s not a problem, I do lots of things in chunks and the repetition isn’t noticeable but today it definitely was. I spent too long investigating my maths before realising that the random generator was clamping out 🤦♂️
As much as I love Halton I think I need a blue noise sequence for larger distributions as well
