I re-watched this documentary Tsukiji Wonderland (2016) which documented the move of the renowned Tsukiji Fish Market and the culture surrounding it.
When the documentary was released in 2016 the dollar was ~97 Yen, today it's ~157 😱😱
Pretty sure the fish mongers aren't selling 50% more fish and whatever additional is necessary to pay for inflating operating costs.
The people interviewed in the documentary were so hopeful for the future 🥹
