What if: I've said this before. But the below reminded me of it. If you've ever looked into theories about space. About the universe. About finding life in the universe. You've come across something called the great filter.
Where something must have kept intelligent life from advancing to a certain point. That there might be some sort of filter. Or obstacle. Or reason we have yet to find intelligent life in the universe. Yet to find evidence of intelligent life in the universe. Aside from us.
Here's my theory. What if we've already hit said great filter? And it's greed. That not only has greed in intelligent life. Outside in the universe. Kept alien species from advancing. But lead to entire planets basically nuking itself. To the point where there couldn't be evidence left over.
Wouldn't that then mean we human beings are well on our way toward the same fate? I don't know if greed is human nature. But other things leading to it are. So what if THAT'S IT.
