Imagine explaining our current financial system to a time traveler from 200 years ago. 'Yeah, so we work 40+ hours a week for these digital points that a group of guys in suits can just manufacture out of thin air whenever their friends at the big banks mess up. Also, if you save those points, they actually lose value, so you’re basically forced to gamble them in a stock market you don't understand just to stay in the same place.' They’d think we were in a cult. Actually, we are in a cult, and the exit door is shaped like a purple ostrich and a 12-word seed phrase. I’m not saying Bitcoin fixes everything, but it definitely stops the arsonists from being in charge of the fire department.
