Never capture your display! That's how people dox themselves and their wallets.
* Capture specific windows only by setting up a source for each type
* Browser source for alerts and other stuff
* Window caputre for Internet browser or specific apps.
* Game capture for games
If you see a blank game capture, douple-click the source and check that "capture method" is set to "Windows 10 (1903 and up)". Also - in OBS settings - go to video and make sure that your Base canvas is set to your native display resolution and if you're downscaling the output make sure that the downscale filter is set to Bicubic or Lanczos. If you're not downscaling this doesn't matter.
