Last year I decided to attempt to repair an early belt driven 1.25mm pitch laptop floppy drive from a 1994 Toshiba T1910CS laptop. The belt had become slightly slack, so I had the idea to pad out the spindle. I've revisited the laptop today to see if the fix is still working:
