So like when I was growing up in Houston I had this feeling that Houston was just a place without any culture, and then I moved *out* of Houston I was surprised to find a bunch of rap artists I just thought were regular famous from the radio were just unknown where I'd moved because Houston (or the corridor from Houston to NOLA to Atlanta, at least) actually had an extremely active hip hop scene
