š¬ Wintermute founder Evgeny Gaevoy stated on the Crypto Playbook podcast that the industry has moved away from its cypherpunk roots toward a narrative of "rising numbers."
He argued that stablecoins reinforce the dominance of the US dollar rather than building a decentralized parallel system, and that crypto should return to its cypherpunk ethos instead of becoming fully integrated into Wall Street.
