The move to super high speed networks is less interesting than unifying telephony and packet-switched systems into rich, interoperable service infrastructure. At 100Gbps you could dl a Blu-ray movie in two seconds. Cool, but, a richer ecosystem will be much more interesting. The only concrete date I’ve heard is that the IPv4 infrastructure is expected to be ded by 2028. So many changes coming. #technology #networking
