It's been talked about to death already, but it's just so telling that every time something like this happens, nopony on the site is like "well, I guess I'm going to credibly exit/fork/direct-follow/whatever."

The "decentralized in theory" conversation has never held more true - and it gets buried under, "nu-uh, look at this technical project with a community relay", which is all well and good but..

..if it was decentralized, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
