The markets are weird right now because ALOT of money is in index funds locked in 401k’s, so the downside risk is mitigated by the fact that those people generally aren’t moving money around.
Most of that money belongs to boomers.
401k’s force RMD’s to empty the accounts.
This starts in earnest in the next decade or so.
