Maybe you are trying to read a little bit too much "in". Your logo contains a picture of a gun, there is no question about that. If they don't want to print pictures of guns, then it doesn't matter that it's "only a picture" or that "someone else is okay with that". Saying that it's just a "stylized gaming emblem" is akin to a flat-earth argument, don't scoop that low.
