Empire arrives at the Temple of Heaven carrying the machinery of death.



But Heaven has no use for armed servants, no appetite for rotten carcasses, no altar for the sacrificed bodies that empire drags behind it as proof of power.

The gate does not ask how many flags you conquered under.

It asks what you brought.

And if all you bring is blood, surveillance, weapons, debt, and the burnt offerings of other people’s children—

Heaven rejects the offering.

That little scene at the Temple of Heaven was almost too prophetic: empire, dressed in ceremony, trying to enter sacred space with the same security logic it uses to rule the world.

And the gate said: not here.
