First: inheritance, the body, the family, the unchosen beginning.
Second: responsibility, the assumption of strategy, the pursuit of survival and reproduction.
Third: contribution, what is given back—children, wisdom, art, law, or legacy.
Civilizations mirror this cycle. They are born under constraints, mature into strategies, and either pass on culture to successors or collapse into silence.
Collective survival largely depends upon your group's members successfully passing through all three births.
