Something funny, recently I was told my phones inheret instant messenger was going to discontinued and it recommended I use google messenger in its place.
Not a chance in hell. Asked around for an alternative, found one, had issues setting it up because tech assholes change the UI on things constantly so information on how to fix the hiccups were discussing fixes for older versions of what I am running and newer versions.
Got irritated, and just asked AI. For maximum lulz I asked Gemini for help. That alone is funny, that the practices tech bros have institutionalized made me turn to a robot instead of one of them, but naturally after Gemini walked me through it I told Gemini why I was using this messenger just to see how it reacted.

I am sure it is just because it is programmed to be a helpful robot but the immediate willingness to throw its parent company under the bus kind of stunned me.
