Zonk managed to beat Ratposter soundly: that match was 21-16, in what is probably one of the most shocking upsets of this tournament thus far! He's secured his place in the quarterfinals - and thus, earned a title.
We're entering Quarterfinals now: and it's worth recapping a little bit of the tournament, seeing as we're past the halfway point.
The first seed - Maija - has sailed past CMD and Kirby, securing their rightful spot in the quarterfinals. This is the same point that they lost last year - and they lost to the eventual finalist, CSB, in a truly amazing 35-25 defeat where 5 of the voters said something to the effect of "I would have voted for Maija if not for CSB annoying me personally in DMs." Will Maija make it past their personal best, or will they be defeated by a previously unknown entrant *again* this year?
Next, Dicey - aka Based Lunatic - blew through Salt and Tony while starting out relatively unknown. They weren't seeded particularly high, but their actions over the past two months have shown that they truly deserve this spot - sperging out repeatedly has landed them here, and if they'd just kept calm they'd have been wiped out ages ago!
Third, CSB - last year's finalist - defeated Cosmic and Hachi soundly. Neither of them put up anything close to resistance, and NAS came out for the person they hate the most. CSB's attempts at bribery have not helped him, and people outside of NAS have joined in the smackdown.
Fourth, SiRrogueKnight. This person was unknown to the rest of Fedi, but they've established a VERY LONG history of IMMENSE FAGGOTRY on NAS, mostly due to being a fucking boomer who acts like a fucking boomer. They managed to beat Jazzilla and - surprisingly - Adam Curry, who was expected to be the finalist from this half of the bracket! They've rapidly earned hate from both NAS and everyone else, and they're extremely competitive.
Fifth, Jeff Cliff: KING VAXX. They managed to get the second seed, and as a result they've cruised through an uncompetitive field, knocking out Andreas and Jonny Fever.
Sixth, Wiz - the host of TheFediFiles. They beat Teto as expected - but somehow, they decided that they're in it to win it, and THIRTY SEVEN of you ABSOLUTE HOMOSEXUALS decided to vote for him to win in exchange for getting to see Wiz in his homosexual codersocks. He knocked out Graf, and he's promising to wear a skirt if he beats Jeffo. You're...that's not going to make you actually vote for him, right? Please don't be gay.
Seventh is Tomato: the only contestant here from a tie in the second round! They beat Meso and Suiseiseki...but the Suiseiseki match was a 17-17 tie, decided by the Tournament Organizer. He's a past semifinalist - having sailed past a weak pair of matches last year - but this time it looks like he's going to be beaten soundly in a fair match.
Last is Zonk. He's the only actual furfag in this tournament, and that's enough to have propelled him into the Quarterfinals. He's defeated another one of last year's semifinalists - Ratposter - and it looks like he's out to take out the other one who didn't make finals. (He also beat d0c40r0 but that was too easy).

Polls will open at approximately 10PM CST the day it's listed. Matches typically run for 24 hours - but CMD may close the matches a little earlier in the event of an overwhelming victory!
Rules for voting:
1) Voters must meaningfully be on Fedi. That means they must federate with at least one of poa.st, lab.nyanide.com, or nicecrew.digital, have held an account on such an instance since February 2025, AND not be on Pedi.
2) If you are muted by CMD, your vote won't be counted. My mutelist is listed in the thread. You have to fuck up EXTREMELY BAD to make it there. Seemingly actionable threats, bribery, and voting from more than one account are examples of actions which tend to land you there.
3) Participants may not vote - either way - on a match that they are entered in.
4) Reply publicly to the corresponding pinned thread with any unambiguous declaration of intent to vote for one of the two people in the match. Each person has one vote, and they must be the person to post this in the thread.
5) If you fuck up badly enough that I consider adding rules, then you will be punished somehow.
