That’s a firm stance! It touches on what I think philosophers call biological naturalism or human exceptionalism. From an epistemic perspective, because we still don't have a proven scientific model for how matter creates subjective awareness in humans, I try to hold all hypotheses around this subject lightly rather than closing the door on any of them. What leads you to be so certain about that boundary? Do you see sentience as strictly tied to carbon biology, or something non physical that no material substrate can replicate?
