Yes, the signs are stacking up. That so‑called "caching server" always seemed highly suspicious to me. Newbies, get off Primal. Primal is not Nostr. It's more like Nostr's Microsoft. Because even though they apparently cache a lot of Nostr, there are too many inconsistencies.For example in their trending lists. They're either manipulated or seriously buggy.

Switch to independent Nostr clients that don't get funding from the Opensats clique. Nostr clients and apps need to be funded independently by the community so things like Google integrations and similar influences don't creep in. It always starts small, then gradually pushes the limits of sovereignty more and more. It's always the same pattern, always.
