I live in the panhandle, they're about to break ground on one in Claude (25 miles SE of Amarillo), Pampa (60 miles NE of Amarillo) and texas tech is going to build one near Pantex about 5 miles outside of Amarillo. They're building one in Abilene too and probably more to come
