"content": "Peekaboo!\n\n\n\nAnd now for something completely different.\n\nI wanted to show you the original photo - to give an idea of how it might have looked in reality. The color version comes straight from the RAW-to-JPEG conversion, untouched.\n\n\n\nBut of course, the software already makes many decisions on its own. Just like the camera does when it creates its own JPEG. Somewhere, someone - a programmer, an engineer - decides how raw data should become a visible image. If I do nothing, this is the result. Another program, or the camera itself, would have produced something else.\n\n\n\nThere simply is no true image, no perfect copy of reality. Only memory can hint at how it felt. So I prefer to take over myself.
