Thank you for posting this. I'm old but not what I'd class as elderly as yet! I have balance issues from a chronic condition and I can't go out alone for a walk anymore. I can regain balance by standing still a moment but if bikes whizz by on our shared bike/ walking path (previously a railway line) it's all too fast for me to stay upright.
