What I don’t understand about the people calling the riots in the UK protests. The murderer of those children was a 17 year old Welsh kid who went to a Christian church.

Why were there protests outside mosques and those mosques got smashed up. Why was a Holiday Inn housing migrants set fire to with its occupants barricaded inside?

There’s hundreds of things to protest about in the UK. Nearly everyone is broke. There’s obvious answers to that. What I’m curious about is who benefits from misdirection? The initial reporting of the fake name and back story seems to originate from an office in Austin, Texas and was propagated through a number of politically motivated accounts on X.

What was their incentive? Was it purely to drive engagement or are there other benefits from disruption in the UK?

I’ve seen a few things on here now that seem like distortions of the truth. I thought it was widely known that news sources such as Fox, CNN, The Telegraph, The Guardian have strong biases and have often reported untruths but they’re shared uncritically as the message confirms to existing biases. I’m not above this, I’ve certainly done it in the past but I’m trying to do better.

This is a long way of saying people are quick to kick off when given a little bait.

What do people here think?
