Welcome to my Closed Loop Ecosystem, or CLE. This is the name I gave to the food production system I've been developing over the past six years.

Hi everyone!
This is the system I was talking about on my Nostr account.
It's the Closed Loop Ecosystem (CLE), the name I gave to the food production system I've been developing.
It's a hybrid of aquaponics, sandponics, mushroom cultivation, and composting, all working together in one closed-loop ecosystem.
No water leaves the system. Once it enters, it stays inside.
The fish are partly fed with aquatic plants grown inside the system. I still use some commercial fish feed, but my goal is to reduce that more and more over time.
This is the sandponics section.
Over here you can see the NFT channels. They don't perform very well in my climate.
Here are around 300-400 tilapia.
Further on you'll see lettuce, peppers, cabbage, duckweed, Azolla, tomatoes, mushrooms, and several other food-producing components.
The mushrooms serve two purposes: they help mineralize organic waste, making nutrients available again, and they also provide food.
The baby tilapia are bred inside the system as well.
At the moment, approximately 50% of the fish feed is produced within the system, while the remaining 50% is still commercial feed.
The entire system consumes only 235 watts of electricity.
It contains approximately 20,000 liters of water, and I only need to add around 200 liters per day, roughly 1% of the total volume.
Two additional lagoons are being built, one already completed and another almost finished.
My goal is simple:
Decentralized money + decentralized food.
Bitcoin gives us decentralized money.
The Closed Loop Ecosystem (CLE) aims to give us decentralized food production.

Together, we can build a more resilient future.
