I think your confidence that the AI meltdown will be less worse than 2008 assumes that American banks aren't wound up in all the credit flying back and for to pay for real chip manufacturing and real datacenter builds.

I am not confident about that assumption.

If they are exposed, then we will be in another to-big-to-fail situation with the fed extending hundreds of billions in credit to provide liquidity. With all that quantitative easing after 2008 the rich got richer.
