I started using Jabber ≈ 2014 and message loss was a typical issue back then! I wonder why I still continued to use it. A question to a shrink, I guess.
But I did not experience any message loss since many years, after all clients implemented so-called "Stream Management".
Btw. there are now two pretty good iOS clients (so I heard, I don't have iOS): #Monal by monal-im.org :xmpp: (npub1xxs…xwre) and #SiskinIM by Tigase (npub10fy…wjz5) (or its fork #Snikket for iOS by [@snikket_im](https://fosstodon.org/@snikket_im )).
