Exactly, the capitalist fully understands that agency isn’t transferred, which is why they’re wrong and philosophically incoherent. A major virtue of Ellerman’s argument is that it’s simple and correct. It gets people to what I would call anti-capitalist conclusions much more simply and effectively. It also turn the personal responsibility that is often cited in favor of capitalism against it.
