Speaking of German border checks, the Bavarian Administrative Court has ruled that the reasons provided for continuously extending border checks with Austria are insufficient and the checks thus illegal.
The lower court had previously rejected the complaint by a German citizen living in Austria at the time but the higher court revised that rejection and then ruled that the identity checks were in fact illegal.
The federal government can appeal the ruling to the Federal Administrative Court.
