I will say that as an IT worker, I have had to (respectfully) push back on bonehead ideas from management that ultimately were pointless (or worse counter-productive). But I work in a completely different industry and have a good working relationship with my manager. Not everyone has a boss that will listen to their boots on the ground counterpoints to stupidity. We do have management push bad ideas some times... Sometimes we have to say, "we told you so," afterwards...
