My grand parents had an outdoor loo in their basement flat at Jerningham Road, New Cross.
I remember visiting them and using it up until they passed away in the mid 1970's.
They lived there all their married life and never had a bathroom. Washing in the kitchen sink or using a tin bath once or twice a week.
