I am wondering if I know someone here who's using one of the X1 "sexy" Thinkpads? Doesn't matter much which generation as long as it's not 2nd. And as long as you're on some kind of Linux or BSD.
If you are that person: How's it going with that X1? Everything working on your OS of choice? Any particular "trouble" with the machine, either overheating or some port flaking in and out of operation? Anything aside from "works just great"?
Because I am thinking about getting an "as cheap as possible" X1, probably Gen3 or Gen4, to use for *very* light work and possibly for giving simple presentations with.
