I tried Ubuntu 24.04.1, Linux Mint 22 and KDE Neon on a touchscreen laptop.

On Ubuntu, out of the box the on-screen keyboard comes up when you touch text fields. But it doesn't even fucking work! None of the keys do anything! Seriously?! Also, touch scrolling doesn't work in firefox, the control center doesn't respond to touch properly and then the whole screen freezes. Just like my last experience with Ubuntu Desktop.

Touchscreen support on Linux Mint is non-existant. Only some apps support touch scrolling, that's it.

KDE Neon is the only one that actually has somewhat decent touch support. Only need to enable the touch keyboard, and it works, in Firefox and everything. But then this bullshit happened with the start menu, and nothing would stop it.

GNU/Linux desktop fails to not be utter garbage yet again.
