Is home schooling an option?
In Germany we have strict compulsory school attendance – just like in North Korea. Private schools exist, but they are tightly regulated by the state and do not remove the requirement of physical attendance or the rigid state curriculum framework. Exceptions are made almost exclusively for serious illness; there is no general legal entitlement to homeschooling.
