I was sure to match volume levels. The much cheaper Mimir is the winner. They are very close. The Boarder Patrol has a wider sound stage but not by much. My older daughter didn't really hear it (she did say the Boarder Patrol was more immersive after my wife said it was more immersive). But, what my wife and daughter both caught (more than me because I only hear to about 16kHz these days) was an unpleasant sharpness (mostly at higher volume levels) on snaps and other similar sounds.
