A dear friend who happens to be raising a trans kid let me know that she has pulled stakes and fled the country practically overnight.
She didn't feel comfortable telling anyone ahead of time because she fears, rightly, that her family might be targeted.
I can't stop crying over what I am l losing. My family, my community. People I love.
I don't know what is going to happen to them and for the first time in my whole life I don't have anything hopeful to offer anyone.
