this is really the core of the permanent note problem and the lack of the ability to delete. a compromised phone or nsec can lead to any matter of ill-intentions being stamped visibly forever. doxxing locations, social security numbers, blackmail, revenge porn, etc. this has the potential to turn nostr into an unfortunate verb. “did you see so-and-so got nostr-ed last night?”

permanent notes are also a fed’s wet dream. or an evil dictator’s.

freedom is all fun and games until it’s not freedom anymore.
