In my long experience both socially and of psych nursing, I honestly think there are people with a strong disposition to be easily persuaded by conspiracy theories, cults, religions etc. I also think some countries are much more prone to it than others, maybe due to their media, or cultural beliefs or traditions or just plain ole habits.
