⚡️💻 NEW - Brave says its latest tests show that its browser can use significantly fewer system resources than Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.

The company tested the four browsers on a Mac mini with an M2 chip and 8GB of RAM, loading 50 popular websites.
Each browser was tested 10 times with a fresh profile.

According to Brave’s results, it used:

-44% less CPU
-28% less memory
-10% less energy
-26% less incoming network traffic
-39% less outgoing traffic
-Pages loaded around 20% faster

Brave says its built-in ad and tracker blocking is a major reason for the difference.
The tests also showed Brave using around 1.2GB of memory, compared with 1.75GB for Chrome, 1.62GB for Edge, and 1.65GB for Firefox.
