Considering every norse enthusiast I know in real life got into it as a middle finger to their Protestant parents and the fact that there’s no solid moral code that goes along with it other than the same “be kind and a good person” bullshit you see in judaic church circles AND satanism circles to the point where they are all indistinguishable, I’d say it’s pretty easy to use it to subvert people searching for a greater meaning and understanding of whats going on around us in the present day while giving them free reign to make their own moral code as they go. It’s all the worship of self, which (in my opinion) is the epitome of the fall of man.
Odin is cool. Thor is cool. Greek mythology is cool. The pantheon is cool. All of our history is cool.
But a King (not just Jesus but the European kings) loving his people enough to lay his life down for them and fight along side them against those contrary to them (whether it be hell or Muslim hordes) is really cool and divine.
