Parents know, kids need guidance, and when they find themselves in trouble, look for the lesson, the teaching moment.
Tonight was one of those: accountability. When the question gets asked “where were you?”, an honest answer is expected. When that isn’t the case, what’s a parent to do? Turn the other cheek, scroll past and say “don’t do that again?”
We reap what we sow, and character is built one day at a time.
Today we begin building trust again at the base layer with one of our youngers, teaching self-discipline, honesty and speaking the truth. It never gets old and we continue to be tested by them, no matter the age. 😊
