It's not excess, your food producers are incentivized to create addictive and high caloric foods because that makes them more money, without govt. intervention they've got not reason to stop, Europe does this and the US does not so that's why you look the way you do, and frankly it's disgusting
the average person cannot outsmart the system and corporations so they become fat pigs whom the healthcare industry also gets to exploit
