#WritersCoffeeClub 8/2 Person in your life who encouraged you to write?
Plenty of teachers and good friends, but my late stepdad was particularly supportive of my writing.
We had a checkered relationship and he could be fairly pig-headed sometimes. He ended up getting uninvited from my house after a nasty spat with my wife, but he was always happy to read and support my writing when others didn't.
He died tragically last year in a bicycle accident. Ultimately he did his best and I'm grateful.
