a friend of mine implemented nix-fused more than 10 years ago (unfortunately as a corp-internal non-public project) which just pulled on demand whatever was needed to execute a random binary into the Nix store.
I believe there was a recent talk at #NixCon or so where someone reimplemented the same idea...
That's basically comma on steroids ☺️
