Now that I have a 3d printer I keep trying to remind myself that I can make little custom clips and brackets and things ... maybe the one end could slot into something that attaches to the main board and then you could solder in the other side? (That said, my day job has been sucking up all my extra curricular creative energy for the last couple years so all my personal projects have been going super slow.) :-(
