We also only had 10 months... But vanity by rulers. It's been well documented that it only takes two generations to change a culture and forget the past. Vanity and/or commercial interests have long taken advantage of that. So far we've done well to avoid soda poo for breakfast but don't get me started on the whole concept of breakfast (the MOST, and don't you doubt it, meal of the day).
Studying history is really about not forgetting the past THEY try to erase.
